Today I am alone
But unlike all those other days
When the pain and the loneliness
Made me want to die

Alone with my memories
I reflect on flights of passion we shared
Alone throughout the day
Wishing you were here

Since we've been apart
I still feel the pain of loneliness
But it is a different pain
I do not feel empty
Inside my mind and heart
Because I know you're there

Alone with candlelight
I reflect on our past embraces
Alone into the night
