Belly Dance

She dances 'round in beguiling waves
Puts rich, fat gents into enraptured fear
While grandwomen bicker down in their graves
Her belly twinkles and winks so queer
Their wagging tongues led by a nose
Like frogs and dogs and lecher peeks
Her frenzied sway and wanton toes
Den mothers hide their ruby cheeks
The wives' and aunts' attack prepared
To break her spell; to put her down
She opens wide, her wee teeth bared
A giggle afore that bedtime frown
While uncles' banter is cause to mull
'Tis clear, a baby's grin is never dull
